The Bible often mentions the value of having a person in your life who can help you navigate life. Likewise, we are each called to pass on the wisdom we've gained to others to help them on their journey. We all need to be investing in the lives of others.

"Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ." 1 Corinthians 11:1
"Give instruction to a wise man and he will be still wiser, Teach a righteous man and he will increase his learning." Proverbs 9:9
"A wise man will hear and increase in learning, And a man of understanding will acquire wise counsel" Proverbs 1:5

The Bible gives numerous examples of people having and being a guide, and the exponential impact these relationships have as one person invested in another!
- Jethro guided Moses. Moses guided Joshua and the elders of Israel. Joshua guided the leaders of his army.
- Eli guided Samuel. Samuel guided Saul and David. Ahithophel and Nathan the prophet also guided David. David became Israel's greatest king. David guided his army commanders, government officials and Solomon. Solomon guided the Queen of Sheba.
- Elijah guided Elisha. Elisha guided king Jehoash.
- Daniel guided Nebuchadnezzar, who humbled himself before God.
- Mordecai guided Esther. Esther guided King Artaxerxes, which led to the liberation of the Jews.
- Priscilla and Aquila guided Apollos.
- Jesus guided the 12 apostles who established the Christian church. The apostles guided hundreds of other leaders, including Paul. Paul guided Titus, Timothy, and many others. Timothy guided Epaphras. Epaphras and other faithful men, which led to a chain reaction resulting in new churches across Asia. Ultimately, this chain is the beginning of our churches today.*
